OUR OPINION
Going MTB does not only mean bike parks or pre-established rides, for me it is also an adventure so it is essential to always have with you everything you need to allow you to face every situation.
That's why I recommend having a comfortable and roomy backpack just enough to use in the right situations. I tried for almost a year the Siskin 12 by Osprey, a Californian brand that produces since 1974.
I like Osprey because it is a very environmentally friendly company: it produces and designs only high quality products, uses very expensive fabrics so it minimizes waste and uses recycled and recyclable packaging materials.
This MTB backpack is small and light (Weight: 0.66 kg), perfect for day trips. A 3-liter water bag is already included, attachment for a LED lamp.
Being very thin my bones are pronounced and among all the backpacks I tried the Siskin is really comfortable on the shoulders and back thanks to the pronounced padding and after a year of use it is still perfect. The backrest is designed to maximize ventilation and the shoulder straps have maximum comfort thanks to the BioStretch ™ adjustment system.

The classic lacing has no Velcro, so there is no risk of damaging knitwear by pulling on the threads and I really appreciated the frontal lacing that was made with a magnet: both fastenings are comfortable and quick to tie and unfasten with one hand to be as fast as possible. The backpack, even if compact, you can put everything you need like bars, bladders, pump and k-way.
Another convenient thing is the LidLock ™ helmet hook: comfortable, stable and I even managed to put on my full-face helmet.
The belt does not have the Velcro that 90% of the time ruin our technical jerseys and has two pockets where it is possible to keep the objects that must always be at hand.
I recommend buying an Osprey because it is an excellent quality-price product, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and we make a purchase that helps our planet.
