Since retiring from competitions, Steve Peat has created a new brand of cleaning and care products for the bike: Peaty's.
By now everyone recognizes Peaty's for the latex with the glitter we are testing these days and on which we will write an article soon, but how are the products for bike washing?
I used them on my MDE and I was really satisfied.
First of all, use the LoamFoam Cleaner over the entire bike. Two types of spray can be chosen: a more powerful spray or one that nebulizes the product, but in both cases the liquid immediately turns into a dense foam that as soon as it touches the frame and components sticks and starts working on the dirt without slipping away. Compared to other products on the market, the foam stays longer on the frame and manages to dissolve even the most encrusted dirt without using the brushes! After a few minutes, only with the use of water, the bike shines again.
The Drivetrain Degreaser is very powerful and also creates a dense foam that acts to dissolve all the earthy grease perfectly.
Once the chain is dried, I apply the Peaty's oil, which guarantees that the small spout does not put too much lubricant and that it is precise in the application.
Promoted with full marks: less waste and less effort to remove dirt and the bike comes back again after 10 minutes.

LoamFoam Cleaner
Born from the professional World Cup Mountain biking circuit and designed specifically for use on high-tech bikes and their components. Peaty's Loam Foam is a professional grade, biodegradable cleaner that is tough on dirt yet safe to use on all bike surfaces including carbon, brake pads and disks. Loam Foam's unique cleaning formulation is blended with organic gelling agents, allowing the active cleaning compounds to cling to your bike for longer. The result is a shiny clean steed with minimal effort. Simply apply Peaty's Loam Foam liberally to dirty surfaces, wait for 3 - 5 minutes and blast off with clean water. Stubborn dried-on dirt may need to be persuaded with a soft bristled brush then rinsed off with cold water.


Drivetrain Degreaser 
Peaty's Foaming Drivetrain Degreaser is the ultimate bike specific, high strength foaming drivetrain degreaser. Our powerful biodegradable formula has been designed to be tough on grime for fast and powerful drivetrain degreasing, while remaining kind to the rest of your bike and the environment.


- Apply liberally to the cassette while cycling the chain backwards, building up a thick layer of foam
- Apply directly to any other areas not already coated such as crank arms, derailleur bodies or jockey wheels
- If you have a bike stand, run through all of your gears several times to agitate the grime
- Agitate any stubborn areas where needed then leave to soak for two minutes
- Rinse off thoroughly with clean water
- Dry the chain using a clean cloth
- Apply Peaty's LinkLube

Link Lube
