More style, more adventure, to help you escape from the daily routine. The entry-level Shimano components for the ALIVIO off-road series, ACERA and ALTUS have been updated with the essential features for a modern MTB tour. These components have adopted a design inspired by higher category models, and have more user-friendly features to meet the needs of Mountain bikers of the next generation. The completely redesigned ACERA (FC-MT300- 3) and ALTUS (FC-MT210-3 / 2) cranksets have a very aggressive look with more easily swapped chainrings. Together with rear derailleurs and cassettes, the transmissions are equipped with MEGA9 LITE gears, that offer a smooth and easy shift between various options for 3x9 (44-32-22T and 40-30- 22T) and 2x9 (36-22T) users.
Additionally, wheel hubs have been updated with Boost standards that allow the wheel system to be stiffer while ensuring a greater compatibility with new mountain bike frames. Entry-level with 110 mm front hubs and 148 mm rear hubs O.L.D. (ALIVIO: HB-MT400- B / FH-MT400- B and ACERA: HB-MT200 / FH-MT200- B).

The light brake levers of the ALIVIO series (BL-MT400), inspired by the higher level models such as XTR, XT, SLX and DEORE, boast a 2-finger position that allows greater control over the handlebars. The ACERA 3-finger version (BL-MT200 / 1) is available in either steel or alloy. The levers are designed for small hands and have a reach of 75 mm from the handlebar, with an additional adjustability of 25 mm. Finally, for 2x9 systems, the redesign of the front derailleur ALIVIO (FD-M4020) allows for a greater tire width, with a wide level of front displacement, thanks to the side-swing technology. The new design also guarantees efficient cable routing in any of the four mounting positions.

The components will be available in stores starting in June, more info: www.SHIMANO.com
