This bike was born for DH, but mounting a 200 mm fork and a 209 mm suspension with a shock absorber that reaches 260 mm, I noticed that at first impact the fork is much more rigid and that mounting a rockshox fork would be an hazardous choice because they are supposed to work the same in the front and in the back.
This is a problem given by the price of course, because if i bought a top range one it would have coil-air shock absorbers, that are also adjustable.
To compensate this fact yt made a smart choice, there's the possibility to move the carro to have more rigidity on the back, but is that enough?
On bends it is very handy while on the rocks it helps you being really soft on the back.
It's a compact bike for jump, but it is also stable on paths full of roots and rocks, which allows you to be agile and safe in the hardest Points even weighting 17.5kg.
One of the things I don't like about YT is the drive setting, because Boxxer is very tall, so I would have expected a different pipe handlebars.
The last flaw of this awesome bike is the chain tensioner, which cracked after a ride.
At the Red Bull Rampage 2014 Andreu Lacondeguy was victorious on a TUES bike, and Cam Zink’s TUES launched him to Best Trick and second overall. It was our first team podium ever!
The TUES kicks ass because of its low center of gravity and agile handling. It is maneuverable, stable and accelerates out of corners like a bat out of hell. It is for these reasons that DIRT magazine awarded it “Downhill Bike of the Year” several times over.
For 2015 we will introducing a brand new size to the TUES line, with adjusted geometry to fit a bigger wheel diameter.
